Location:

The position is in North Bengal, it is at the Bogra District in Shibganj Thana and Village name of Mohasthan. 

History:

Dating back from the 3^rd century BC, this is the earliest known city site in whole of Bengal. Ruins of early Buddhist monasteries near Mahasthangar and Paharpur clearly depicts this. These gigantic temples and monasteries of the eight century are by far the most spectacular Buddhist sites that have been discovered. It has been declared as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

The admission to the museum nearby is 10Tk for adults and 5Tk for children.
