Cox’s Bazar

Cox’s Bazar is a charming town which is known for its wide sandy beach. Its length 120Km located at south Chittagong. It is also known as “Panowa” which means “Yellow flower”. Its once another old name was “Palongkee”. Its modern name is Cox’s Bazar which is accordance with the name of Captain Cox (died 1799). He served as an officer in British India. He became the popular leading point of the people for his good deeds and good service. He kept an important role in rehabilitation work. As a result, according to his name the market is known as Cox’s Bazar at present. 

                        Cox’s Bazar is one of the surprising and famous tourist spots in Bangladesh Uncounted numbers of foreigners and Bangladesh people come to visit this coastal city every year. As a result, a large number of hotels, guest houses and hotels have been built in the city and costal area. At present it is considered as an economic source of revenue from foreign exchanges.
